Here is information on the main fabric lining types available.

(Want more detailed information about the main lining options? Read this blog article.)

Recycled Polyester Fleece Lining:

✔️ Great insulation and very soft! Made from 100% recycled polyester.

⭐ I recommend this lining if you really notice your hands getting cold easily.

Organic Cotton Fleece Lining:

✔️ Still warm and soft, but a more sustainable option

Lightweight Thermal Lining:

✔️ Lightweight thermal knit fabric --great for light insulation and a thinner feel

✔️ Multiple options for lining color

Organic Cotton Thermal Lining (NEW):

✔️ Medium-weight thermal knit fabric for moderate insulation

✔️ Classic cotton softness, quality organic cotton fabric

While having the same shape and cut, there are 2 general types of styles:

With Edging:

✔️ fleece lining wraps around the outer edge, so they feel a bit warmer/cozier

Without Edging:

✔️creates a cleaner and slimmer look, may feel more professional depending on your taste or what setting you’re wearing them in

All gloves are machine washable in cool or cold water and can go in the dryer on a low or delicate setting. Also note, fabrics naturally pill over time due to friction with surfaces and other fabrics, especially in the washer or dryer, so if you want to reduce pilling on the outer fabric of your gloves, you can wash them inside-out.

All of our gloves have unisex sizing based on the circumference around the palm at the knuckles. For more information and tips about sizing, see the size chart page.

It is common knowledge that if you keep your core warm, your body is better able to keep your extremities warm. In the same way, by keeping your palms and your wrists warm, your body will be able to maintain warmth in your fingers better. The glove design does not cover the fingers to strike the right balance between warmth and freedom of motion for your fingers, especially for typing.

Fleece-lined styles are going to be the warmest options for Raynaud’s sufferers. Recycled polyester fleece is the most insulating, but the organic cotton fleece is a close second. Styles that have the fleece lining wrap around to make an edging are cozier than the other styles.

In conversation with our partner, the Raynaud’s Association, we understand that some Raynaud’s sufferers may want additional coverage from their gloves. Below are the available adjustments that we can make for your gloves (desired measurements should be in inches, no finer than 1/4" increments).

  • Side slit measurement (The regular side slit varies depending on glove size, ranging from approximately 1 to 1.5 inches. Keep in mind that if you shorten or remove the side slit completely it may be more difficult to pull your gloves on and off.)

  • Finger/palm coverage length (length upward from base between thumb and index finger, normally about 1.5 inches)

If you would like to make one or both of the adjustments above, you can request your measurement specifications by including them in your order notes when you check out.

You can also read the honest and thorough review of our products written by the Raynaud’s Association on their website here.

The key feature of our gloves (that is different from gloves with a direct medical purpose) is that they are designed with a shorter, angled edge to keep your fingers unrestricted when you use them, particularly for typing. Simply keeping your hands warm may help some people with repetitive strain injury, achy wrists, and other discomfort and these gloves can help you do that without restricting your fingers while you work. While these hand warmers may not be the end-all solution for hand and wrist health, they are an easy way to make a significant difference for some people. Hear what our customers are saying in their testimonials.

The primary purpose of these hand warmers is for indoor use while typing or using a computer mouse or other activities with your hands. They’ll still work for outdoor-use in mild weather. The design gives you a full range of movement of your fingers which means that the fabric is not covering or restricting your fingers, so the provided insulation is meant for mild temperatures where your wrist warmth helps your body maintain its own finger warmth and is not going to keep your fingers warm in winter outdoor weather.

We want people to have a great experience with all the hand warmers we make, therefore we avoid cheap materials and strive to make high quality products. That said, there are a lot of factors that affect the cost of different pairs of hand warmers. For example, the cost of materials are higher for fabrics made of natural fibers like organic cotton, while costs are lower if we are able to purchase fabrics in bulk for styles that sell more frequently. We are also glad to be able to offer a variety of options for people who have different price points.
